Assertion: Human geography studies the inter-relationship between the physical environment and socio cultural environment created by human beings through mutual interaction with each other.
Reasoning: Physical elements are landforms, soils, climate, water, natural vegetation and diverse flora and fauna.
Answer & explanation
Correct answer: option 2
The correct option is: Both Assertion (A) and reasoning (R) are correct, but R is not the correct explanation of A.
Explanation:
-
The assertion correctly states that human geography studies the inter-relationship between the physical environment and socio-cultural environment created by human beings through mutual interaction with each other.
-
The reasoning provides examples of physical elements such as landforms, soils, climate, water, natural vegetation, and diverse flora and fauna. While these are indeed elements studied in physical geography, the reasoning doesn't directly explain why human geography studies the inter-relationship between the physical and socio-cultural environment. Therefore, the reasoning is not the correct explanation of the assertion.
