A train travels 50% faster than a car. Both start at the same point and meet after travelling 360 km. In between, the train stopped for a couple of hours at a station due to engine failure. What is the speed of the train?

Let speed of car = 2C km/h

& Speed of faster = 2C + C = 3C km/h

According to question ,

\(\frac{360}{2C}\) - \(\frac{360}{3C}\) = 2 hours

on solving ,

2C = 60 km/h

C = 30 km/h

Speed of Train = 3 × 30 = 90 km/h

So , Speed of train is 90 km/h .
