Correct Answer:

i- F
ii- F
iii- T

Explanation:

Snow blindness occurs due to the absorption of UV-B radiations by cornea due to which it becomes inflammed. It leads to diminishing of the eyesight, photoburning and later permanent damage to cornea ,that result in actual cataract.
National Forest Policy(1988) of India has recommended 33% forest covers for plains and 67% for the hills.
Jhuming is a cause of deforestation.. It is basically a slash and burn agriculture also known as shifting cultivaton. In India about 5 lakh hectares of land is cleared every year through looping, burning the remainder , mixing the ash with soil and sowing the cleared land with crop seeds. The land is used for 2-3 years without manuring. This results in nutrient depletion, reduced moisture retention and increased soil retention.
