Options:

Lichhavi

Kshtraka

Videha

Sakya

Correct Answer:

Sakya

Explanation:

The correct answer is Option 4- Sakya

Gautama Buddha belonged to the Sakya clan.

The Sakyas were a small tribe of rice farmers who lived in the northeastern region of the Indian subcontinent, near the modern border of India and Nepal. Buddha's father, Suddhodana, was the chief of the Sakya clan.

The Sakyas were a wealthy and prosperous clan, and Buddha was raised in a life of luxury and privilege. However, he was also aware of the suffering that existed in the world, and he was determined to find a way to end it.

At the age of 29, Buddha left his home and family to seek enlightenment. He spent the next six years wandering through India, studying with different teachers and meditating.

Finally, at the age of 35, Buddha attained enlightenment while sitting under a bodhi tree in Bodh Gaya. After his enlightenment, Buddha spent the rest of his life teaching his Dharma to all who would listen.

The Sakya clan is proud of its association with Gautama Buddha. Today, there are still Sakyas living in India and Nepal, and they continue to practice Buddhism.
