Railways is considered as one of the most important development in the infrastructure. The aviation sector was inaugurated by Tata. Whereas, Inland waterways didn't turn out to be economical in comparison to railways as in the case of Orissa port. Roadways were also of great use to Britishers but it didn't give connectivity that effectively.
