Who was the founder of Mughal dynasty?

Options:

Humayun

Babur

Akbar

Shahjahan

Correct Answer:

Babur

Explanation:

The correct answer is Option 2- Babur

The founder of the Mughal dynasty was Babur.

Babur was a descendant of the Turco-Mongol conqueror Timur (Tamerlane) on his father's side and from Genghis Khan on his mother's side. He was born in Ferghana, Central Asia, in 1483.

In 1504, Babur conquered Kabul and established himself there. In 1526, he invaded India and defeated the last Lodi Sultan, Ibrahim Lodi, at the First Battle of Panipat. This marked the beginning of the Mughal Empire in India.

Babur ruled for only four years before his death in 1530. He was succeeded by his son, Humayun.

Humayun, Akbar, and Shah Jahan were all subsequent Mughal emperors. They are all considered to be among the most important and influential rulers in Indian history.
