Question:

The length of a rectangle is 4 times of its breadth. If the area of the rectangle is 576 cm2, then what is the perimeter of this rectangle ?

Options:

112 cm

60 cm

56 cm

120 cm

Correct Answer:

120 cm

Explanation:

Here,

Length = 4 x Breadth

⇒ Area of Rectangle = L x B = 576 cm2

⇒ 4B x B = 576 cm2

⇒ 4\( { B}^{ 2} \) = 576

⇒ \( { B}^{ 2} \) = 144

⇒ B = 12 cm

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(L + B) = 2 (48 + 12) = 2 x 60 = 120cm
