A gives B a head-start of 10 seconds in a 1500 m race and both finish the race at the same time. What is the time taken by A (in minutes) to finish the race if speed of B is 6 m/s?

According to question ,

Time taken by B to finish 1500m race = \(\frac{1500}{6}\) = 250 sec

Given that :-

A gives a start of 10 sec to B

So , Time taken by A to finish the race = 250 - 10 = 240 sec

As 1 minute = 60 sec

So , 240 sec = 4 minutes .

Hence , the time taken by A to finish the race is 4 minutes .
