Abul Kalam Azad (1888-1958):
Born Abul Kalam Mohiyuddin Ahmed in 1888, Azad grew up in a religious and scholarly family.
He actively participated in the Indian independence movement against the British rule and was a leader of Congress.
He was a distinguished scholar of Islam, a courageous freedom fighter, and a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress.
Azad strongly believed in promoting harmony and unity between Hindus and Muslims, emphasizing the importance of religious tolerance and cooperation.
He opposed the partition of India along religious lines.
He was a member of the Constituent Assembly of India.
In the first cabinet of independent India, Azad served as the Education Minister.
