Question:

The bar graph given below shows the number of male teacher and female teachers in 5 schools.

L1 = The difference between the total number of male and female teachers in all the 5 schools.

L2 = Total number of male and female teachers in school H.

What is the value of (L1/L2)?

Options:

2.66

1.33

0.55

4.66

Correct Answer:

1.33

Explanation:

L1 = The difference between the total number of male and female teachers in all the 5 schools.

Total number of males = 240 + 320 + 280 + 200 + 120 = 1160

Total number of females = 320 + 280 + 80 + 40 + 120 =  840

L1 = 1160 - 840 = 320

L2 = Total number of male and female teachers in school H.

= 120 + 120

= 240

Now ,  \(\frac{L1}{L2}\) =  \(\frac{320}{240}\) = 1.33
