A boy is flying a kite whose height from the ground is 300 m.  When the boy see the kite, the angle of elevation is 60°.  Find the length of string of the kite if there is no slake in the string.

Options:

200√3

\(\frac{150}{\sqrt {3}}\)

\(\frac{130}{\sqrt {3}}\)

\(\frac{300}{\sqrt {3}}\)

Correct Answer:

200√3

Explanation:

In  ΔABC → Sin 60° = \(\frac{AB}{AC}\)

⇒ AC = \(\frac{AB}{Sin\;60°}\) = \(\frac{300}{\frac{\sqrt {3}}{2}}\) = 200\(\sqrt {3}\)
