A rectangular park is 45 m long and 30 m wide. A 2.5 m wide path is constructed all along outside the park. The area of the path is :

Area of park =l×b=45×30=1350cm2

Area of park including path =(45+2.5+2.5)×(30+2.5+2.5)=1750cm²

Therefore,

Area of path = Area of park including path − Area of rectangular park
