Satyam and Shivam can do a work in 10 days and 15 days respectively. Both start the work together, after 4 days Satyam left the work. Shivam has to complete the remaining work. In how many days, does the total work get completed?

Satyam = 10 days, Shivam = 15 days,

⇒ Satyam worked 4 days and left = 3 x4 = 12 units,

⇒ Remaining units = 30 - 12 = 18 units,

⇒ Time required by Shivam complete the remaining work = \(\frac{18}{2}\) = 9 days,

⇒ As Shivam was working since Day 1, therefore, total work is completed in 9 days.
