Associative property states that the sum or the product of any 3 or more than 3 numbers will not be affected with the change in their grouping pattern. As per associative property: A + (B + C) = (A + B) + C For example: Let A = 10, B = 5, C = 3 In case of addition: 10 + (5 + 3) = 18, and, (10 + 5) + 3 = 18 (The answer does not change with the change in the grouping patterns) In case of multiplication: 10 x (5 x 3) = 150, and, (10 x 5) x 3 = 150 (The answer does not change with the change in the grouping patterns) |
