Practicing Success
A, B and C can separately do a work in 6, 10 and 15 days respectively. They started to work together but C left after 2 days. In how many days will the remaining work be finished? |
$1\frac{2}{4}$ $1\frac{1}{4}$ $1\frac{5}{8}$ $2\frac{7}{4}$ |
$1\frac{1}{4}$ |
A = 6D, B = 10D, C= 15D ⇒Here, all of them worked together for 2 days, therefore, ⇒ Work done by all of them in 2 days = (5+3+2) x 2 = 20 (Efficiency × Days = Total work) ⇒ now, C left and remaining work is done by A & B. ⇒ Remaining work = 30 - 20 = 10 Therefore, The Time taken by A & B to complete the remaining work = \(\frac{10}{8}\) = \( {1 }_{4 }^{1 } \) Days.
