Question:

Which of the following is not the basic feature of an entrepreneur?

Options:

Innovation

Business planning skill

Risk aversion

Leadership

Correct Answer:

Risk aversion

Explanation:

The correct answer is option 3- Risk aversion.

Risk aversion is not the basic feature of an entrepreneur as entrepreneur is risk taker.

Risk-taking: As the entrepreneur contracts for an assured supply of the various inputs for his project, he incurs the risk of paying them off whether or not the venture succeeds. Thus, land owner gets the contracted rent, capital providers gets the contracted interest, and the workforce gets the contracted wages and salaries. However, there is no assurance of profit to the entrepreneur.

OTHER OPTIONS

  • Innovation: From the point of view of the firm, innovation may be cost saving or revenue-enhancing. If it does both it is more than welcome. Even if it does none, it is still welcome as innovation must become a habit! Entrepreneurship is creative in the sense that it involves creation of value.
  • Leadership- They guide teams and influence others.
  • Business planning skill- Essential for turning ideas into viable ventures.
