Some students of a class appeared in an examination. There average score remained 52. If average score of the top 20% of them was 80 and that of the bottom 20% was 30, then find the average score of the remaining students.

If the average score is 52 then the total score will be = 5200

According to the question,

If average score of the top 20% of them was 80

Total score of 20% = 1600

If average score of the bottom 20% of them was 30

Total student of bottom 20% = 600

Now total score of remaining 60% = 5200 - 1600 - 600 = 3000

Average score of remaining = 3000/60 = 50
