Let the population in starting = P

40% = \(\frac{2}{5}\)

ATQ,

⇒ P × \(\frac{7}{5}\) × \(\frac{7}{5}\) × \(\frac{7}{5}\) = 6860 (After 3 year)

⇒ P =  6860 × \(\frac{5}{7}\) × \(\frac{5}{7}\) × \(\frac{5}{7}\)

⇒ P = 2500
