A girl purchases 9 mangoes for Rs.90 and sells 10 mangoes for Rs.95. Find the gain or loss percentage.

Total number of mangoes bought = LCM of 9 and 10 = 90

CP of mangoes = \(\frac{90}{9}\) × 90 = Rs. 900

SP of mangoes = \(\frac{95}{10}\) × 90 = Rs. 855

According to the question,

Profit % = \(\frac{900-855}{900}\) × 100%

= (45/900) × 100%

= 5%  (loss)
