I. The number of pencil sold by A in P and Q together is 31.72 percent more than the number of pencil sold by B in S and T together .

II. The number of pencil sold by B in Q and R together is 105.88 percent of the number of pencil sold by A in P and T together.

Options:

Neither I nor II

Only I

Only II

Both I and II

Correct Answer:

Only II

Explanation:

I. The number of pencil sold by A in P and Q together is 31.72 percent more than the number of pencil sold by B in S and T together .

Pencil sold by A in P & Q = 150 + 140 = 290

Pencil sold by B in S & T = 130 + 125 = 255

Required percentage = \(\frac{35}{255}\) × 100 = 13.72%

Statement I is incorrect.

II. The number of pencil sold by B in Q and R together is 105.88 percent of the number of pencil sold by A in P and T together.

Pencil sold by B in Q & R = 110 + 160 = 270

Pencil sold by A in P & T = 150 + 105 = 255

Required percentage = \(\frac{270}{255}\) × 100 = 105.88%

Statement II is correct .

Ans = only II
