Question:

The area of a triangle is 96 cm2 and the ratio of its sides is 6 : 8 : 10. What is the perimeter of the triangle?

Options:

48 cm

56 cm

64 cm

44 cm

Correct Answer:

48 cm

Explanation:

Ratio of its sides is 6 : 8 : 10

Area = 96 cm2

As the ratio of the sides of the triangle are making triplet . So it is a right angled triangle.

area = \(\frac{1}{2}\) × Base × Height

96 = \(\frac{1}{2}\) × 8x × 6x

x = 2

Perimeter = x(6 + 8 + 10) = 2(24) = 48 cm
