Question:

if sin P =$\frac{15}{22}$, then what is the value of tan P ?

Options:

$\frac{16}{\sqrt{259}}$

$\frac{22}{\sqrt{259}}$

$\frac{14}{\sqrt{259}}$

$\frac{15}{\sqrt{259}}$

Correct Answer:

$\frac{15}{\sqrt{259}}$

Explanation:

We are given :-

sinP = \(\frac{15}{22}\)

{ we know, sinP = \(\frac{P}{H}\) }

By using pythagoras theorem,

P² + B² = H²

15² + B² = 22²

B² = 484 - 225

B = \(\sqrt {259 }\)

Now,

tanP

= \(\frac{P}{B}\)

= \(\frac{15}{ √259}\)
