The ratio of the present ages of Ravi and Ravish is 7 : 8. Four years ago, this ratio was 6 : 7. What will be the ratio of the ages of Ravi and Ravish after 16 years from now?

Present age = 7R, 8R

Four years ago age = 7R - 4, 8R - 4

ATQ,

⇒ \(\frac{7R\;-\;4}{8R\;-\;4}\) = \(\frac{6}{7}\)

⇒ 49R - 28 = 48R - 24

⇒ 1R = 4

Present age of Ravi = 7 × 4 = 28

Present age of Ravish = 8 × 4 = 32

After 16 years,

Ravi :  Ravish = (28+16) : (32+16) = 44 : 48 = 11 : 12
