Find the male population of city R that is below 60 years.

Options:

19,800

24,600

21,600

30,000

Correct Answer:

21,600

Explanation:

40% of population of R is above 60 . so 60% of population of R is below 60.

Male population of city R that is below 60 years = \(\frac{12}{25}\) × \(\frac{25 }{100}\) × \(\frac{60 }{100}\) × 300000

= \(\frac{12}{25}\) × \(\frac{1 }{4}\) × \(\frac{3 }{5}\) × 300000

= 21600
