The sides of an isosceles triangles are 10 cm, 10 cm and 12 cm. What is the area of the triangle? |
60 cm2 48 cm2 40 cm2 44 cm2 |
48 cm2 |
We know that, Area of right angled triangle = \(\frac{1}{2}\) × Base × Height The sides of isosceles triangle = 10, 10 and 12 So the base is 12. Half of the base = 6 = base Then height = 102 = 62 + h2 h = 8 So area = 2 × \(\frac{1}{2}\) × 6 × 8 = 48cm2 |
