The correct answer is Option (4) → 1950 to 2000
The faster each billion is added, the higher the rate of increase. After 1950 the curve rises most steeply:
- 1830 to 1930: 1 billion added in 100 years
- 1930 to 1960: 1 billion added in 30 years
- 1960 to 1975: 1 billion added in 15 years
- 1975 to 1987 and 1987 to 1999: 1 billion added in 12 years each
So the population grew fastest between 1950 and 2000.
