Price of the product = 12000

Discounts = 30% and 15% successively

And a single discount of = 45%

so in this type of questions when the sum of both the discounts that are given successively and single is same then the difference between them is always = \(\frac{x × y}{100}\)

So, the difference = \(\frac{30 × 15}{100}\) = 4.5%

4.5% of 12000= ₹540
