The table below shows the number of employees of companies A, B and C for given 4 years.  Study the table and answer the following questions.

Find the ratio between percentage increase in number of employees of company A from 2012-13 to 2014-15 to the percentage increase in number of employees of company B from 2012-13 to 2014-15.

Percentage increase in no. of employees of company A from 2012 - 13 to 2014 - 15 = \(\frac{(176 - 154)}{154}\) × 100 = \(\frac{22}{154}\) × 100 = \(\frac{1}{7}\) × 100

Percentage increase in no. of employees of company B from 2012 - 13 to 2014 - 15 = \(\frac{(150 - 120)}{120}\) × 100 = \(\frac{30}{120}\) × 100 = \(\frac{1}{4}\) × 100

Required ratio = \(\frac{1}{7}\) × 100 :  \(\frac{1}{4}\) × 100 = 4 : 7
