Question:

The line chart given below shows the GDP of two countries L and M in five different years.

J1 = The value of average GDP of countries L and M in year Y1.

J2 = The value of average GDP of countries L and M in year Y4.

What is the value of (J1/12)?

Options:

4.42

2.36

3.48

1.56

Correct Answer:

2.36

Explanation:

J1 = The value of average GDP of countries L and M in year Y1.

Average GDP of L & M in year Y1 =  \(\frac{315 + 205}{2}\)

=  \(\frac{520}{2}\) =260

J2 = The value of average GDP of countries L and M in year Y4.

Average GDP of L & M in year Y4 =  \(\frac{115 + 105}{2}\)

=  \(\frac{220}{2}\) = 110

Now ,  \(\frac{J1}{J2}\) = \(\frac{260}{110 }\) = 2.36
