Question:

The average weight of A, B, and C is 52 kg. If the average weight of B and C is 44 kg and that of C and A is 46 kg, then what will be the weight of C?

Options:

24 kg

38 kg

36 kg

68 kg

Correct Answer:

24 kg

Explanation:

Total weight of A , B & C = 3 × 52 = 156 kg   -----(1)

Weight of B & C = 2 × 44 = 88 kg   ------(2)

Weight of A & C =  2 × 46 = 92 kg    ----(3)

Adding equation 2 & 3

Total weight of ( A + B + 2C ) = 88 + 92 = 180 kg

So , Weight of C = 180 - 156 = 24 kg
