Question:

If 60% of a number is 120 more than 20% of the number, then 28% of the number is less than 33\(\frac{1}{3}\)% of the number by:

Options:

12

14

15

16

Correct Answer:

16

Explanation:

Let the number = Z

ATQ,

⇒ 60% of Z - 20% of Z = 120

⇒ 40% of Z = 120

⇒ 1% of Z = 3

⇒ 100% of Z = 300

Now,

⇒ 33\(\frac{1}{3}\) % of Z - 28 % of Z

= 5\(\frac{1}{3}\)% of Z

= \(\frac{16}{300}\) x 300 = 16
