Question:

The volume of a cone of radius 13 cm is 507 π cm3 . Find its height.

Options:

12 cm

27 cm

18 cm

9 cm

Correct Answer:

9 cm

Explanation:

We know that,

Volume of cone = \(\frac{1}{3}\) πr2h

We have,

The volume of a cone = 507 π cm3.

Radius (r) of cone = 13 cm

Volume of cone = \(\frac{1}{3}\) × π ×  (13)2 × h

 507 π  = \(\frac{1}{3}\) × π × 169 × h

= h = (507 × 3)/169 = \(\frac{1521}{169 }\) = 9 cm
