The logic followed here is;

(let's keep in mind the base, means how many triangles are there in the base)

1+2= 03  (ABD) 

1+2= 03  (CDB)

And, the other triangles from 1st square are;

ABC & ADC

Now, we have 03+03+02= 08 triangles

---> Total number of squares= 03

So, 08x03= 24 triangles

And, the other triangles from 2nd & 3rd squares are;

CEH, ACE, BFG, DBF

Now, we have 24+04= 28 triangles

Plus, APQ, PQG, APG

Therefore, the total number of triangles in the above figure are 28+03= 31 triangles.
