Question:

The sum of incomes of A and B is ₹165000. A spends 70% and B spends 80% of their incomes. If savings of A is 25% more than that of B, then what is the difference between their incomes?

Options:

₹12,000

₹18,000

₹15,000

₹10,000

Correct Answer:

₹15,000

Explanation:

Let Income of A and B are a and b respectively.

30% = \(\frac{3}{10}\) , 20% = \(\frac{1}{5}\) & 25% = \(\frac{1}{4}\)

ATQ,

a ×  \(\frac{3}{10}\) = b ×  \(\frac{1}{5}\) × \(\frac{5}{4}\)

\(\frac{a}{b}\)  = \(\frac{5}{6}\)

Now , (6+5)R = 165000

 11R = 165000

1R = \(\frac{165000}{11}\)

= 15000

So ,  Difference between income of A and B is 15000.
