Question:

If x - \(\frac{1}{x}\) = 39\(\sqrt{3}\)

then find the value of  ( x + \(\frac{1}{x}\) )

Options:

10

11

16

17

Correct Answer:

11

Explanation:

⇒ If x - \(\frac{1}{x}\) = a then x + \(\frac{1}{x}\) = \(\sqrt {a^2 + 4}\)

Here,

x - \(\frac{1}{x}\) = 39\(\sqrt{3}\), then

⇒ x + \(\frac{1}{x}\) = \(\sqrt {(39\sqrt{3})^2 + 4}\) = 11
