Two trains A and B starts moving from station P and Q respectively towards each other. One and half hours after the trains met each other, they were 228 km apart. After meeting, train A arrived at Q in 25 hours and train B arrived at P in 9 hours. Find the total running time of train A?

Meeting time (t) = \(\sqrt {t_1 × t_2}\) = \(\sqrt {25 × 9}\) = 15hrs.

Time taken by A after meeting = 25 hrs

Total running time of A = 15 + 25 = 40hrs.
