Mohan's Mother is three times as old as Mohan. After 6 years, his mother will be two times as old as he will be. Find the age of Mohan.

Let the age of mohan's mother = a years

and age of mohan = b years

After 6 years, age of mother = (a + 6) years

After 6 years, age of mohan = (b + 6) years

Now according to question:

⇒ a : b = 3 : 1

⇒ a & b = 3R & 1R

After 6 years:

⇒ (a + 6) : (b + 6)  = 2 : 1

⇒ \(\frac{3R\;+\;6}{1R\;+\;6}\) = \(\frac{2}{1}\)

⇒ 3R + 6 = 2R + 12

⇒ 1R = 6

So, age of Mohan = 1R = 6 years.
