Two circles of radius 15cm and 13cm intersect at points P and Q.  If PQ = 24cm; then distance between centers of the circle is:

PR = \(\frac{1}{2}\) PQ

OP = 15 cm

O'P = 13 cm

Using Pythagoras theorem, triplets can be used : (9, 12, 15)  &  (5, 12, 13)

In Δ OPR ⇒ OR = 9 cm

In Δ OPR ⇒ O'R = 5 cm

Hence,

Distance between two centers (OO') = OR + O'R = 9 + 5 = 14 cm
