Question:

A number is first increased by 25% and then decreased by 10%. If the resulting number is 72, what is the original number?

Options:

75

84

64

56

Correct Answer:

64

Explanation:

25% = \(\frac{1}{4}\) & 90% = \(\frac{9}{10}\)

Let original number = 100x

ATQ,
