Question:

What will be the solution of (1 to 3) system of inequality : $4-5x>-11, 4x+11≤-13$

Options:

$(-∞, -7]$

$(-∞, -4]$

$(-∞, -6]$

$(-∞, -5]$

Correct Answer:

$(-∞, -6]$

Explanation:

The correct answer is option (3) : $(-∞, -6]$

$4-5x>-11$

$-5x>-15$

$x< 3$ ........(i)

$4x+11≤-13$

$4x≤-13-11$

$4x≤-24$

$x≤-6$ .........(ii)

From (i) and (ii)

$x≤-6$

Hence, Solution set is {x : x ∈ R, x ≤ -6 }

i.e $(-∞, -6]$
