Probability
Given P(A) = 0.4, P(B) = 0.7 and P(A/B) = 0.6. Find P(A ∪ B)
0.42
0.1
0.28
0.68
$P(A|B)=\frac{P(A∩B)}{P(B)}=0.6$
$⇒P(A∩B)=P(B)×0.6=0.7×0.6$
$P(A∪B)=P(A)+P(B)-P(A∩B)$
$=0.4+0.7-0.7×0.6$
$=0.4+0.7×0.4$
$=0.4×1.7=0.68$
