The monthly incomes of A and B are ₹12000 and ₹15000 respectively. The monthly expenditure of A is ₹8000. If the ratio of the monthly expenditures of A and B is 2 : 3, then what is the sum of their monthly savings? |
₹7000 ₹8000 ₹5000 ₹6000 |
₹7000 |
A B Income = 12000 15000 Exp. = 8000 ⇒ Expenditure ration of A : B = 2 : 3 ⇒ 2 units = 8000 ⇒ 1 unit = 4000 ⇒ 3 units = 3 x 4000 = 12000. ⇒ So, expenditure of B = Rs. 12000 ⇒ Saving of A = 12000 - 8000 = 4000, ⇒ Savings of B = 15000 - 12000 = 3000, ⇒ Sum of savings of A and B = 4000 + 3000 = Rs. 7000. |
