A can complete 25% of a work in 10 days. B can complete 40% of the same work in 16 days. In how many days will A and B together complete twice the work mentioned above?

A = 25% of W = 10 days = 40 days,

B = 40% of W = 16 days = 40 days,

As days are same, so their efficiencies will also be same i.e; 1 and 1,

⇒ Time required by A + B to complete twice the original work = \(\frac{2 x 40}{1+1}\) = \(\frac{80}{2}\) = 40 days,   ..(\(\frac{Work}{Efficiency}\) = Time)
