The pie chart given below shows the number of girls in six schools P, Q, R, S, T and U. The total number of girls in all these six schools are 3000. Number of girls in a particular school is shown a s as percentage of total number of girls in all these six schools.

What is the total number of girl in school P and R ?

Explanation:

Total number of girls in P & R =( 17 % + 31%) of 3000  = 48% of 300

= \(\frac{12}{25}\) × 3000 

= 1440
