A common pattern that we observe in all the developed countries is that the development took place in the following way i.e. shift in one sector to the other is seen in the following way: Primary to secondary, secondary to tertiary. But in case of India there was a peculiar shift in the occupational structure i.e. from primary to direct tertiary, due to which various problems like jobless growth was witnessed in the economy.
