Question:

A and B started a business and out of a total profit of Rs.6900, B takes Rs.400 as a bonus and the remaining profit distributed between them according to their investment. If B invested \(\frac{1}{6}\) more than A. Then find the share of B out of the total profit.

Options:

3300

4500

3900

4100

Correct Answer:

3900

Explanation:

Total profit = 6900

Extra taken by B =400

Remaining profit = 6900 - 400 = 6500

*If time is same then investment ratio becomes profit ratio*

            A    :   B

Profit:  6     :   7  = 13R

⇒ 13R = 6500

⇒ 1R = 500

B's Profit = 7R = 7 × 500 = 3500

B' s total profit = 3500 + 400 = 3900
