Explanation:

Base area of a cylinder = 38.5 cm2

⇒ πr2 = 38. 5 cm2 ⇒ $r=\frac{7}{2}cm$

Latest surface area = 176 cm2

⇒ 2πrh = 176 cm2

⇒ h = 8 cm

∴ Volume = $πr^2h=\frac{22}{7}×(\frac{7}{2})^2×8=308cm^3$

Hence, volume of the cylinder = 308 cm3
