Explanation:

\(\hat{a}.\hat{a} + \hat{b}.\hat{b} + 2\hat{a}.\hat{b} = 1\)

1 + 1 + 2\(\hat{a}.\hat{b}\) = 1  

\(\hat{a}.\hat{b}\) = \(-\frac{1}{2}\) = \(\cos {\theta}\)

\(-\frac{1}{2}\) = \(\cos {\theta}\)

\(\theta = 120°\)
