The dissolution of partnership cannot take place by which of the following way:
Answer & explanation
Correct answer: option 4
The correct answer is Option (4) → Solvency of a Partner
Dissolution of partnership changes the existing relationship between the partners, although the firm may carry on its business. Admission, retirement and death of a partner all change that relationship, and so does the insolvency of a partner. The solvency of a partner changes nothing, so it is not a way of dissolution.
The recognised way is “Insolvency of a partner”. NTA dropped the “In” and printed Option (4) as “Solvency of a Partner”, so a true way of dissolution became the odd one out. Two letters were enough to change the answer, so read the whole word before you mark it.
