A. Spermatozoa
B. Spermatogonia
C. Secondary spermatocytes
D. Spermatids
Choose the correct answer from the options given below:
Answer & explanation
Correct answer: option 4
The correct answer is Option (4) → B, C, D, A
B. Spermatogonia — first. These are the immature male germ cells on the inner wall of the seminiferous tubules. They are diploid and multiply by mitosis. Some of them become primary spermatocytes.
C. Secondary spermatocytes — second. A primary spermatocyte completes the first meiotic division (reduction division). It forms two haploid secondary spermatocytes.
D. Spermatids — third. Each secondary spermatocyte completes the second meiotic division. Four haploid spermatids are formed from each primary spermatocyte.
A. Spermatozoa — last. The spermatids change into sperms by the process of spermiogenesis.
